There are three ways to deal with the negativity the world has to offer.
The first and most popular, for some reason, is to immerse yourself in the negativity and allow it to bring your vibration down.
The second is to hide from all negativity as though it is a toxic plague that will kill you if you don't seal all your doors and windows and hide inside your home.
The third way is acceptance that you are the creator of your own life experience and have the ability to encounter negativity and not be moved by it.
You can take action as needed, or walk away, but the situation does not affect who you are.
It is not a powerless shutting down of the senses, so that you cannot see the scary thing, but an eyes open encounter which allows you to access the situation, deal with it and whip out your magic wand like Glinda and say, "Be gone, you have no power here."
Vibrating in fear an misery will not improve your life, only a vibration of love and joy will do that.
You are a child of the Divine Creator. It is time to accept your place in the royal family. It is your right and your responsibility to bring joy and prosperity to this planet.
Now, take out your wand and get to work! ~Silas

Turn, Turn, Turn
It is a common mistake to believe that the expression, “Turn
the other cheek”, represents an act of weakness or acceptance.
It is in fact, an act of strength.
It takes a strong person to look beyond the ego and
recognize the frightened soul inside that the ego is protecting.
An act of revenge serves no one. It tells the other that their ego was correct
in its judgment and that their beliefs about you were true.
A stronger act is not to act. Inaction, that comes from a
place of love, is more powerful than action that comes from fear.
Those who would judge based on the fearful act that they can
see or the fear-filled words they hear, will be revealed for who they really
are.
Those with the best and most loving eyes can see through the
fear and vengeance and recognize the loving act of inaction.
If those around you are moved to act from fear and
vengeance, be moved from your heart and be still in a place of love.
In the end, the peace and love you create will return to you
multiplied. ~Silas
