Glad to Be Sad

It troubles us, sometimes, to see you feeling sad or depressed. We understand why this happens for we are also sad sometimes.

The sadness is not who you are. It will pass if you let it. It will remain if you chose to hold onto it.

Constant sadness is not you're natural state. If you cannot escape it, then enlist the help of a friend or counselor.

Most of you will have blue moments. Blue is one of many colors on the spectrum. It complements the reds and yellows, merges with the greens and violets.

A life without a little blue would not be pleasant.

Sadness is release. An ending that makes new beginnings possible.

It is cleansing rain, that clears away negative energy, allowing more room for love and light.

It is a pressure release valve that keeps your emotions from exploding.

Be glad that you can be sad, just don't live there.

There are too many other colors of the rainbow to explore. ~Silas

Dream a Little Dream.....

Sometimes the Universe slows you down as you approach a goal you have been working to manifest.

This is not out of cruelty, but love.

The problems you have come from your thoughts. If your thoughts do not change, problems will persist and you will bring them into the new situation, job or relationship.

Then, when a new love, more money or a great career comes into your life, you will think, "Perhaps this isn't what I wanted."

Trust your first instincts. If want something with all your heart, it is your birthright to have it and to enjoy it.

Don't dilute future joy with present problems.

Resolve your emotional issues now, not when you can afford a self-help book or workshop. If those are what you need, one will fall into your hand.

You have what you need to heal your life within you right now. Ask what needs to be released. Work through it and let go.

Move into your new life without heavy burdens.

Only then, can you create the future you've been dreaming of, and enjoy it as much as you enjoy your dreams. ~Silas

Stopping the Spread

If you were a scientist trying to stop the spread of a contagious disease, you would, most likely follow three important steps:

First:  isolate- Find out what areas are affected and begin quarantine protocols.

Second: determine the cause- Look at it, study it, note how it spreads. Find the organism that is responsible.

Third: treat- Once the guilty organism is found, treatment can begin in the form of vaccine or antidote.

The first two steps are the hardest.  It is the same with discomfort, stress, or disease in  your body, thoughts and emotions.

First: isolate- What is happening? Depression? Anger? Relationship issues? Aches and pains? What part of your physical body is affected?

Second: determine the cause-  When did you feel this before? Childhood? Past life? During a relationship that no longer exists? Did something traumatic happen that brought it on?

Third: treatment- This is up to you. You are the doctor. What feels right? Affirmations? Cleansing ritual? Creative visualization? Pharmaceuticals? A trip to the doctor or counselor? Ask, then sit quietly and listen. The answer will come to you, always.

No one can tell you what is right for you.  You will know it and be drawn to it. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, and never give up.  We want you to heal. We are counting on you. ~Silas

Feeding the Need

You enjoy your food and drink. We do not blame you. We would love to experience it as you do, but our bodies do not allow it.

Fine, rich food and drink are a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions. Your body can recuperate from such indulgences. It is part of the human experience.

The problem is when indulgence is a daily ritual. Some of you can eat and drink all you want and hardly feel the effects, others will feel sluggishness, a suppression of the immune system, guilt and an expansion of the waist line. So, why do something that is bad for you?

You are hungry, and thirsty. Not in your physical body, but in your emotions and your spiritual energy. Your bodies have mechanisms that tell you when you should not eat something, or when you have had enough. Your emotions have no such mechanisms. The need must be satisfied. If you will not deal with your inner hunger, you will eat, drink, take drugs or engage in casual sex until the need is satisfied. Then you have the vicious cycle of guilt which causes more bad feelings which need to be quieted.

So, the answer is: alternative fuel sources. Gather a list of things that calm and comfort you things that do not damage your bodies. A warm bath, a walk in nature, a favorite sport, arts and crafts, journal writing, singing, dancing and so forth, can satisfy you without adding calories or toxins.

When you do eat or drink, make it a healthy celebration of colors and flavor. Eat and drink slowly, enjoying every morsel and sip. What is the point of indulging in a favorite food if you eat so absentmindedly that you do not enjoy it.

In fact, the whole point of three-dimensional existence is to enjoy it. Learn to enjoy life always, and your body will soon be a reflection of your inner beauty and happiness. Then your word "diet" will cease to be about depravation and revert to it's original meaning, which is simply, the foods that you regularly eat. We ask you to try this. You have nothing to lose, but pounds and pain. ~Silas

Jinnzania's side notes: I've been a chronic dieter my entire life. I've ignored dietary guidelines and been as much as fifty pounds overweight. I've compulsively dieted until I was a walking ninety-five pound skeleton. Eating everything I wanted did not make me happy, and being unnaturally thin did not help either.

I started walking, dancing, eating food I'd cooked rather than unwrapped. I started journaling and writing poetry. I improved the quality of my life as well as my food. Whenever I feel the need to indulge I make it something tasty and satisfying. I get the pint of gourmet ice cream instead of the gallon-sized, bland generic brand. I'll get a small bar of amazing, dark chocolate rather than a rubbery, over sweetened candy bar from the convenience store. More expensive, yes, so I eat less and enjoy it more. The results: I haven't been that heavy since. I've gained and lost a bit, and my life hasn't been perfect, but I always find myself, and get back to my good habits. I found that it's not only responsible, but an act of self-love. What could be more satisfying than that?
