The Faeries of Winter

Humans easily recognize the fae who brighten the flower blooms and make the
spring air sparkle.

Yet faeries do not leave the earth when it turns cold. We just have to work harder
to get your attention.

In winter, the fae cannot work with the pretty petals and vivid green grass
and leaves, yet the work continues.

While the days may feel cold and harsh, you are not alone. Like the
Capricorn goat who rules the season, we work harder to get your attention,
if you work a little harder, you can make the work lighter.

A part of our job is to help you find the joy within you. Like the flowers,
it has never gone away. It just relaxes. The joyful feelings of winter
are of reverie and reminiscence. Feeling the warmth that resides in your
heart, that can hide in the giddiness of spring fever.

Some of you lose touch with this joy and fall into depression. Like a
hummingbird trapped in a tiny cage, you know there are places to fly
and flit but you will not reach them given the restrictions you face.

If you are feeling blue, there are ways to access this joy, and we are
happy to share them with you.

Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Now picture a winter
day before the sunrise. All around are shades of gray with little movement
 and a feeling of lifelessness.

Now, turn your attention to the east and watch the magic as the sun rises!

See the glints of color as the sun glimmers off the dew drops, ice and snow
drifts. Hear the first birds, twittering their morning song. Feel the warmth
of the Sun King kissing your face. Look down to see the tracks of small
animals who have just scurried by. With the excitement of a child,
look for signs of movement indicating that they are still close. You can ask
them if they have a message for you, and they will answer.

Feel the soft tingling, growing more persistent, as the Faeries of Winter
fly through your aura, trying to get your attention.

Feel the joy of hope and expectation as the sun rises higher, flooding
you with unconditional love.

Stay here as long as you like, and keep the feeling with you by noticing, the
beauty of winter around you.

Your attention says, “Thank you” to the winter faeries who work so hard to
bring light and joy into the darkness. And they will stay close all
year long. Just acknowledge and believe. ~Silas

The Divine You

No shame in beginning,
Or starting again.
No evil in falling,
You  need not always win.
Your life is your art,
A style all your own,
Success is each new dawn,
And how much you've grown.
Don't judge a person,
By the medals they wear,
Their bank account balance,
Their nose in the air,
Your path is to be the best you,
You can be.
You don't need the best job,
Or highest degree.
You contain all the magic,
You are light from a star,
You can't possibly fail,
To be who you are.
You have one task alone,
To shine your own light.
To shine someone else's
Will not make you bright.
Believe in yourself,
Your soul knows what's true,
Now stand up and be,
The Divine Spark that's you! ~Silas

Beyond the Lemonade

When life hands you lemons, why stop at lemonade?

Smell the lemons, juggle them, make pink lemonade, lemon chiffon, lemon tarts, lemon meringue, and lemon drops.

The amazing tart taste that is so unique is a combination of the lemons' sourness and the added sweetness you bring to them.

When life brings you a sour situation, take the opportunity to create a little tartness in your life.

What can this challenge teach me? How will it help me grow? How will I overcome it and become stronger and more resilient?

Become such a gifted creator of lemon cuisine that you will not experience the "sour" parts of life. Only opportunities to make it a "tart," unique and grand expression of your soul.

Drink up! ~Silas

Making Miracles

Sometimes you create problems so that you can come up with ingenious and miraculous solutions.

If you, instead, create the miracles first, then the problem does not need to exist and your life becomes a miracle.

So do not strive to be a problem solver, strive to be a miracle maker. ~Silas

First You Ask

If you petition the fae for help, we might ask for a show of gratitude, respect and we also enjoy a shiny trinket or two.

It is not your wealth or property that we seek, but your commitment.

We are not pets to be trained, but fellow travelers, with abilities that can be of benefit to you.

But we will never provide help unless you ask.~Silas

Re-Writing the Story

You have vivid imaginations, capable of amazing visions.

What would happen if you used this vision to create beauty and love instead of fear and hate?

When you see a person who makes you fearful, what is the source of that fear?

Did this person actually hurt you? Then your fear is valid.

Did someone who looked like them hurt someone who looked like you? Do they belong to a group that did something to harm another person? Are they just so different that you don't have an opinion to form, but you create a fear-based one and view them as a threat?

The man covered in menacing tattoos may be a doctor who saves lives. The standoffish young woman may have been recently assaulted and has not yet learned to trust. The person whose skin is of a different color than yours may be somebody's mother, brother, child or the best friend they ever had.

If you don't know someone's story, and can't make up a positive one, then don't make up one at all. Better yet, get to know the person and create a whole new chapter.

Changing the world is not as hard as you think. But it does mean working hard to change your thinking. ~Silas

Clean Up Your Area

There are many now who are worrying themselves sick over the state of affairs of the world. The world has problems, but there are too many of them for you to solve them all.

You don’t have to have the most menacing “CAPS LOCK” on social media. Simply, do something to help your cause. Do not demand the same of others. That is not your job.

Volunteer, pick up trash, send healing energy to someone you don’t know.
Make your small corner of the world a beautiful place to live. When others see it, they will want to create their own.

And then the revolution of love begins. ~Silas
