Strive to Thrive

It is a good thing to survive a disaster or difficult situation, but to label yourself as a "survivor" is a huge burden to carry.

To be a lifetime "survivor" invites disasters into your life.

Of course it does! As a "survivor" disasters are what you do. They are your life's work.

To survive is good. To life a life in survival mode is exhausting and unnecessary.

Strive to be a "thriver."

If you survived a terrible sickness, then thrive in perfect health.

If you survived poverty, then thrive in prosperity and abundance.

Difficult situations are lessons. Once the lesson is learned, there is no need to repeat it.

Survive, learn, release and thrive, then maybe the next lesson will be fun and easy. ~Silas

Breaking Through

Have you been working to manifest a change in your life situation, only to be barraged with setbacks and problems?

Perhaps Spirit is not being cruel but showing you mercy.

Is your energy vibrating in harmony with what you want? If it isn't then you will likely encounter the same problems that you are having now.

Spirit may want you to resolve them before moving on. You might even find things harder when you decide to make the shift. Spirit is simply, speeding up the process at your request.

Look deeper when you wish to break from your pouting.
What issues have you not yet dealt with?

Like a butterfly trapped in a cocoon that is too small, or a snake that is preparing to shed its skin, you may find change to be uncomfortable until you break through your limitations and find a place where you can be free to be the transformed being you desire.

Don't give up hope. Know that struggles are a sign that things are working out. Look at them as things to be resolved rather than sabotage.

Is your ego screaming, "No! No! It's not true!" as you read that last sentence? Then you are on the right track. Keep going. ~Silas

The Gift of Crisis

Often, you will find that in a crisis, you can do amazing things.

When you have no choice, you easily prioritize what must be done, what should be done and what would be nice to do.

You jump in and get it done, not stopping to over-think everything or hesitate. There is no worry about failure or making a fool of yourself. Things suddenly seem very black and white.

Your poor ego cannot get a word in edgewise to tell you you'll never succeed, because you are so focused on the tasks at hand.

So....what is the result? You accomplish a great deal and do it to the best of your ability. You do not stop until you have finished it all or run out of time.

If you applied  "crisis" thinking (minus the stress) to meeting your goals, you would be successful at anything you attempt.

This is why Spirit sends you crisis situations from time to time. It helps you to hone skills that you otherwise would not have a chance to exercise. To prepare you for great things to come.

You do not have to wait until things "get real" to practice acting in a crisis.

Give yourself the gift of a crisis. Pretend company's coming or you have a deadline to meet. Do not stress, just work as though you have no choice. Then focus on your goals and do your best.

In between your crisis practice sessions, make sure to get some rest. You cannot meet your goals and deadlines if your eyelids are drooping and you are barely able to get off the couch.

You will soon find fewer crises entering your life as you will no longer need the practice. ~Silas

Ask and Trust

Imagine you have a very special housekeeper.

She works for free and only wants to make you happy. Her references are impeccable and you have seen great examples of her work at your friend's homes.

Now she works for you.

You give her your cleaning requests and tell her she may begin working.

Hours later you return and nothing has been done.

You moan and complain, "She is willing to work for everyone but me! Why am I so unlucky?"

Finally, after hours of pouting, you decide to talk to her. You go to the closet, in which you have locked her, and ask her why she hasn't cleaned the house.

Hmmmmmmm.  Do you now see the problem?

This is an efficient, competent employee who wants to give you what you want, and you told her to stop before she could even begin working.

"Ridiculous!"You say? "I would never do that!"

Have you ever told the Universe that you want money, then started to form a plan on how that would happen? The Universe listens to your thoughts as well as spoken and written words and cannot tell the difference.

Trust your housekeeper. Ask for what you want. Specify how you want to feel when you get it, then let go and allow her to do her work.

You may find that you get something even better than you ever could have imagined. ~Silas

Happily Ever Now

Your Hollywood movies have sold you on the idea of  "Happily Ever After."

When the movie is over, the problem is resolved, the happy couple ride off into the sunset, the underdog celebrates her success or the world is saved and eternal happiness is the result.

Your job on Earth is to be happy and to learn. Your goals are simply scenarios that provide the  backdrop for this happiness.

It would seem easy to be happy living in prosperity in a mansion, with the love of your life, located on a beautiful tropical island, but if stress, depression and fear are your habits, you can be miserable anywhere.

You can be happy or distraught in any situation, but this does not mean that the Universe wants you to be destitute and homeless.

Cultivate a habit of happiness. Even if you are not where you want to be. Don't blame yourself if you still get stressed, but shake it off quickly, leaving only the lesson behind.

If you desire to be someplace else, then feel the joy in that place. Walk as you would if  you had the great job. Get dressed in the morning as though you are the successful actress or published author you aspire to be.

You may find yourself exactly where you want to be, someplace better or simply in a more favorable situation than you are currently in.

Congratulate yourself on the improvement, and enjoy your Happily Ever Now! ~Silas

A Party in Purgatory

If you want to be happy in Heaven, you must first have a party in Purgatory.

When you want to make a bad situation better, you do not have to wallow in the misery of your old situation.

Smile frequently. Think of it as a Hollywood adventure story. You may be going through dense, scary jungle, but treasure could be right around the next corner.

Lottery wins, amazing job offers and meeting the love of your life, are things that often happen overnight or with little warning.

Everyday, wake up excited that an amazing miracle is headed your way.

If you knew that you were winning the lottery tomorrow, would it seem so bad to be waiting on a difficult customer or being stuck in traffic?

No, it wouldn't. You would be operating with your head in a happy place and transforming not only your own energy but the energy of those around you.

Perhaps, your dream will come true in two days, or a month, you have still remained happy and transformed your circumstances for the better, in the meantime.

Imagine what miracles might be coming your way. Play with them in your head, capture the feeling and ride that wave!

You will find them much more quickly riding your surfboard than pouting on the sand. ~Silas

Try a Little Joy

There are many things available to you, right now, that can raise your vibration immediately.

You would likely engage in them because they are enjoyable, yet many of you have come to associate them with shame and guilt. Either you should not be doing them at all, or you should be doing something more responsible.

Laughter and smiles will give your vibration a great boost, yet you have expressions such as, "Get serious!" and "Stop fooling around." The act of "fooling around" can make you happy and happy gets you closer to Heaven on Earth.

Rest is something of which you also have a negative opinion.

"Get up, already! Stop being so lazy!" Does this sound familiar? Your body, mind and spirit need opportunities to rest and recharge. The more quality rest you get, the more productive your Earthly and Spiritual work will be.

SEX! Yes! Now we have your attention. Your religions have ruined this one for you. The state of euphoria you achieve when you have an orgasm is similar to the feeling of bliss and ultimate pleasure that many achieve through deep meditation. It is, in a sense, a few seconds of "Heaven on Earth." The most beautiful part is: You always have a willing partner, just look in the mirror.

That is why religious leaders fight to control it. If they didn't, you would believe that there were many ways to experience Divine energy and that you didn't need them at all. They tell you sex and self-love are shameful and immoral. Sacrifice now and get to Heaven later.

Yet, you are told that there will be a Heaven on Earth. "As above, so below." What kind of Heaven will you create on Earth? One of deprivation and sacrifice? Or one of joy and bliss?

The biggest sin you commit is judgement and the person you most frequently judge is you.

There is no sin in seeking joy as long as it does not harm another. Try a bit of joy today. It will not hurt, we promise. ~Silas
