Taking Off the Blinders

When you feel that you have only one doorway, one pathway available to you, it is because, you have put blinders on yourself and can only see the one narrow path.

You convince yourself that only by moving forward down this path can you succeed with your plans and goals in life.

It is time to take off the blinders.

Do it now. Then look to the left and right. Look behind you. See hundreds of doors and pathways each with hundreds of choices contained inside of them. Your options are without limit if you can broaden your vision.

Let today be the day, that you open up to see all of the options you have in your life. Don’t rush to try them all, just explore, until you find one that feels perfect for you.

Then, enjoy the adventure. ~Silas

A Party in Purgatory

If you want to be happy in Heaven, you must first have a party in Purgatory.

When you want to make a bad situation better, you do not have to wallow in the misery of your old situation.

Smile frequently. Think of it as a Hollywood adventure story. You may be going through dense, scary jungle, but treasure could be right around the next corner.

Lottery wins, amazing job offers and meeting the love of your life, are things that often happen overnight or with little warning.

Everyday, wake up excited that an amazing miracle is headed your way.

If you knew that you were winning the lottery tomorrow, would it seem so bad to be waiting on a difficult customer or being stuck in traffic?

No, it wouldn't. You would be operating with your head in a happy place and transforming not only your own energy but the energy of those around you.

Perhaps, your dream will come true in two days, or a month, you have still remained happy and transformed your circumstances for the better, in the meantime.

Imagine what miracles might be coming your way. Play with them in your head, capture the feeling and ride that wave!

You will find them much more quickly riding your surfboard than pouting on the sand. ~Silas

Replacing Fear with Adventure

You are so quick to place fear upon a situation that you have never encountered.

You might be starting a new job, or looking for one. You might be meeting someone new or going somewhere you've never been.

Rather than anticipating the next great disaster in your life, what if you changed your attitude?
Instead of seeing yourself as a potential victim, imagine that you are a great explorer or adventurer.
"What will this new day bring? What will I learn? What profound, life-changing, spiritual truths will I uncover this day?"

Go about each new day and new experience as though you are leaving to go on a vacation trip.

What goes right, will bring you pleasant memories and joy, what goes wrong, will teach you valuable lessons and give you funny anecdotes to tell.

Your human tendency is to fear the unknown. This causes you to fear things such as success, power, money and love.

You try to attract these things while surrounded by your fears and often have less than stellar results.

Visualize yourself as having what you wish for and looking back and remembering that you just had to approach it with a sense of wonder and a dash of daring.

Know that this vision is very real and waiting for you.
If you want to get to this destination, you need to buy a ticket and board the plane. If you've never traveled by plane before, then enjoy the ride. ~Silas
