Believe it!

You may wonder why the Universe does not always reward you with abundance and prosperity. You do your affirmations daily, you think positive thoughts and you envision the event as though it has already happened.

So, why are you not rich, famous or living a fairy tale life?

Is the Law of Attraction a Divine con game? Is a supreme being playing with your life like a toy?

If you create such a mean overlord in your mind, he might do just that, but it is unlikely. You already do not use the power you have to create the little things in your life. Why would you believe you are capable of conjuring an omnipotent, imaginary bully?

Sadly, if you look in the mirror, you will see just such a bully.

No one will ever treat you as unkindly as you already treat yourself. No one will be as strict with you or demand so much.

You are a bit like a warlord. You supply weapons and supplies to both sides to keep the conflict going. The only difference is that the warlord is becoming rich and prosperous in the process. You are, simply, failing to get what you want. You fight the daily battle of declaring your desires to the Universe, then shaking your head and thinking silently, “If only.”

The Universe is neither judging you, nor deciding which of the two statements is true. You get a little of both and maintain your current situation. A step forward, then a step back.

Occasionally, you get there. You manifest something amazing. You stand there holding in your hands something you had only imagined a short while ago and you say to yourself, “I can’t believe it!”

If someone were to give you a gift, would you say, “Wow! I can’t believe that you could afford this on your salary!” The person giving the gift would probably not see that as appreciation. They would not be motivated to give you any more.

Gratitude and positive thoughts are the fuel that keeps your manifestation machine running smoothly and efficiently.

When you say you are not grateful for something, either with your words or thoughts,  the Universe is hearing, “I don’t care for that. No more of that, please,” and POOF!  Your wish is granted! There will be no more of what you are requesting.

Cultivate a habit of gratitude daily. Eliminate the phrase, “I can’t believe it!” from your vocabulary. Replace it with, “I’m amazed that…” or “I’m so grateful that….”  In fact, you can make up a list of words and phrases to replace, “I can’t believe.”

When you make gratitude a habit, miracles will soon become a habit. This is not wishful thinking, it is inevitable. “Amazing” is your birthright. Own it. ~Silas

Gratitude and Forgiveness- The Gifts That Return to You

Most of you are familiar with the idea that gratitude can bring more good things into your life. The vibration of gratitude towards a person, object or event, will naturally attract more of the same.

Gratitude is not clinging. It does not grasp tightly to what you are grateful for. It is actually a release. Like putting down a beloved pet with complete faith that it will come back to you.

This allows more good things to flow into your life as you have not clogged up your energy by clinging desperately to what you have.

People will come into your life and do good things, bring joy and happiness and teach you from a place of love. Be grateful for them. Honor what they have done and do not look to them to supply all of your needs. They may remain in your life, or they may go with love and new people will bring fresh energy, love and healing your way.

Conversely, some people will treat you badly. If you want them to stay, continue to dwell on all of the mean things they have done to you. They have, after all, done you a service. They have shown you who you are not. They have pushed you, through fear and intimidation, out of your comfort zone. They have given you an opportunity to learn skills that will serve you in the future.

The opposite of gratitude is forgiveness. It is not asking for more of the same. It is breaking the tie that keeps them in your life treating you badly. When you release them, you leave a void. Like all voids, it wants to be filled.

When you need someone to stop hurting you or you need to stop dwelling on past pain, think of the person or persons involved. Think about what you have learned. Be grateful for this lesson, and do not cling to them as teachers. Release them with love and the next situation will bring more love and goodness into your life.

You do not deserve and should never tolerate abuse of any kind. Once you have discovered the source of it. Let go and be done with it. You have better things on the way. Make room. ~Silas

Be Grateful For What You Have; Do not Curse What You Haven’t

All of you would like to have more of the things that make you happy. It may be money, friends, love or material things.

The Universe would like to help you achieve this.

The problem is you create confusion.

You want more money, so you say your prosperity affirmations, you carry your pretend million dollar bill everywhere you go, you wear lots of green and visualize a larger number in your bank account.

Then you go to pay a bill.

“Damn it!” you say! Is that all I have?

Your computer runs slow.

“What a piece of garbage! I want a better one!”

Such emotion and attention you give to what you don’t want. If the majority of your energy and emotions are spent this way, guess what you will be getting more of?

Often you get angry when you hear a child whining in a store because they want candy or a new toy, but you do not hear yourself whine to the Universe.

When a child is witnessed being grateful and considerate of others, their parents are more likely to give them gifts. Strangers give them praise.

They are happy and content and get what they ask for because they continuously show gratitude for what they have.

The next time you are tempted to complain that you lack the money for a new dress, stop and be grateful that you have enough for a cup of coffee.

When your computer runs slowly, remember the last time you were without one and be glad that it is running.

Then the Universe hears, “I’m grateful! I like having these things!” and like a devoted parent, it will repay your gratitude with more of the things you love.

Like any good parent, the Universe wants you to be happy and well adjusted, not spoiled and unappreciative.

The Universe will always deliver first, that which you cry out for with the greatest intensity of emotion.

Love passionately, the little things in your life. This sends a loud, clear message to the Universe:

"Thank you! May I have some more?"

The Boat and the Village

For as long as your language has existed, you have told stories. Children love to hear stories. It is a much more enjoyable way to learn than a lecture. Adults love to hear these stories as well, although they will seldom admit it.

So, in the tradition of the bedtime story, as you are relaxing tonight, we tell you the tale, of "The Boat and the Village".

A woman struggled to swim in rough ocean waters. A cruel ship's captain, had just thrown her overboard. People gathered around shouting encouragement and one kind soul swam out to rescue her. The captain ignored the scene as he'd already found another woman he could use to do his bidding. The kind woman who offered her assistance gave her a place to live and food to eat. She asked only for some help with chores, when the woman, whose name was Maria, was feeling better.

The two became friends, and the helpful woman taught Maria how to take care of herself and how to swim. She swam daily, going further and further out and swimming expertly back to shore.

One day while she was out, she saw another woman flailing about in the cold, rough waters as the heartless ship's captain sped away.

She swam out to help the woman as a crowd gathered, shouting encouragement.

The ship's captain seeing all he attention she was getting, started to regret his decision, and turned the boat around. They both reached the woman at the same time. The drowning woman thought it would be easier to get back in the boat. She kicked away her rescuer, and spat at her. She called her names and accused her of attacking them.

Maria swam away and limped back to shore. Her friend gave her a blanket and a hot meal and tended to her bruises.

The woman, who had been drowning just moments before, strolled the decks with pride, having already forgotten the captain's cruelty. He had changed his mind, so all was well. A few months later, they were sailing in the area again.

Once again, the captain threw her overboard. Shocked, she splashed in the water, crying out for help. A smaller crowd was gathered, and no one extended a hand to help her as they had all seen her treatment of Maria. She turned to see that the boat was just a tiny dot on the horizon. Help was not coming. She struggled, taking water into her lungs. She kicked until her legs were sore and cramped and collapsed into a heap on the beach. She shivered on the sand, starving and exhausted. She spent the next few weeks begging for food, until she finally found work and a place to live. The hardship that her life had become made her regret her initial decision to go back, but the choice had been made and now she had to live with the consequences.

Meanwhile, Maria had been hired by he village to patrol the beaches. She made a good living and rescued many people. She went out on boat rides with the local fisherman often, as she no longer had anything to fear from the water.

The lesson :

It is not wise to board boat, unless you know how to swim, and if you slap away the hand that reaches out to help you one time, that will be the last, as it will most likely not be offered to you again.
