Before you reach for a pill for your anxiety and stress, take a break and go outside.
Allow the energy of the Earth to calm and ground you.
You vibrate in harmony with this planet. Closed buildings, machinery and artificial light are not natural to your vibration.
Allow yourself to feel the sun on your skin, the grass under your feet and the fresh air in your lungs.
Perfect health is your natural state and your body knows what do to find balance.
Trust and allow this to occur. You deserve it. ~Silas

Nobody Does It Better
If you feel you have a flaw, don't hide it. What you call a flaw sets you apart from others.
Look for the gift within the flaw.
Impatience might mean that you are driven and dedicated, shyness might indicate that you are sensitive and observe situations rather than directly participate.
An unusual facial feature makes you exotic and recognizable.
You were not created as robots designed to do a single task, but as artists, creating a breathtaking mural.
Don't lament that you cannot draw the animals in the picture, perhaps you were created to make the clouds and sun.
Be yourself, no one else can do it better. ~Silas

The New Children
You have, regrettably, been raised in a culture that
tolerates and even encourages half-truths in order to maintain the status quo.
Compliance is love, and shows that you have been raised
properly.
Much of this makes for pleasant and uneventful interactions,
but falsehoods are still falsehoods. To comply without question is to
perpetuate the cycle.
This has been the normal way of life for your civilization
for millenia.
Now, the new children are here. Some call them brats and blame their
non-compliant behavior on poor parenting.
The truth is, they are here to help you. They have come to
expose the lies, prejudices and cruelties that you have accepted and lived with
for so long.
They are frustrated by injustice and dishonesty, and will
tell you that if you look beyond what society expects of them and listen.
You believe children must be trained to be obedient and have
the “badness” punished and beaten out of them, or perhaps a doctor can
prescribe a pill that will calm them and make them listen. You worry about what
their behavior says about you.
Some misbehavior cannot be tolerated, but try to look beyond
your emotions when deciding what to do about it. They might just have something
to teach you.
If you were drowning and someone threw you a rope, would you
sever it because it splashed you or hit you in the face. Then would you hold
the broken piece in your hand and say, “Yes, success! This rope will never hit
me in the face again!”
Today’s children are your rope. Do not cut them off and
render them useless.
This is not to say that children should be spoiled and not
taught discipline. Like all people, children need healthy boundaries.
If you must discipline a child, first consider, “Are they
being rude, or just very honest? Are they being naughty or does their energy
come at an inconvenient time? Are they misbehaving, or just bored or
frustrated?
Give to the children in your care what you yourself would
want. Respect and understanding are about setting and enforcing healthy boundaries;
keeping promises and demonstrating fairness.
Honesty is about listening to and telling the truth, even if
it is uncomfortable or inconvenient.
There are many contradictions in your society. It can be a very confusing place for a child
to grow up.
Often when you are frustrated with them, they are dealing
with their own struggles and frustrations. Be firm, but be kind and you will
win their respect and cooperation.
Remember always, that you are in this together. You can help
each other if you are brave enough to accept their help.
Hold on to that rope!
Your rescuers are here! ~Silas

Be Grateful For What You Have; Do not Curse What You Haven’t
All of you would like to have more of the things that make
you happy. It may be money, friends, love or material things.
The Universe would like to help you achieve this.
The problem is you create confusion.
You want more money, so you say your prosperity
affirmations, you carry your pretend million dollar bill everywhere you go, you
wear lots of green and visualize a larger number in your bank account.
Then you go to pay a
bill.
“Damn it!” you say! Is that all I have?
Your computer runs slow.
“What a piece of garbage! I want a better one!”
Such emotion and attention you give to what you don’t want. If
the majority of your energy and emotions are spent this way, guess what you
will be getting more of?
Often you get angry when you hear a child whining in a store
because they want candy or a new toy, but you do not hear yourself whine to the
Universe.
When a child is witnessed being grateful and considerate of
others, their parents are more likely to give them gifts. Strangers give them
praise.
They are happy and content and get what they ask for because
they continuously show gratitude for what they have.
The next time you are tempted to complain that you lack the
money for a new dress, stop and be grateful that you have enough for a cup of
coffee.
When your computer runs slowly, remember the last time you
were without one and be glad that it is running.
Then the Universe hears, “I’m grateful! I like having these
things!” and like a devoted parent, it will repay your gratitude with more of
the things you love.
Like any good parent, the Universe wants you to be happy and
well adjusted, not spoiled and unappreciative.
The Universe will always deliver first, that which you cry
out for with the greatest intensity of emotion.
Love passionately, the little things in your life. This sends
a loud, clear message to the Universe:
"Thank you! May I have some more?"
"Thank you! May I have some more?"

The Art of Asking
When you ask the Universe a question, be prepared for an
answer.
If you forget that you asked, then the answer will not mean
anything.
If you are serious, then write it down. Put the piece of
paper on your wall, refrigerator or keep it in your pocket.
Expect an answer, but be open to how it comes to you.
It might be an object you find, an unexpected contact or a
vivid dream.
Once you have asked, listen, receive and give thanks for the answer when it comes.
The Universe takes its job seriously. When you ask for
something, you are creating a sacred contract that will always be honored.
The question is: Will you hold up your end of the bargain?

Stuck in the Spiritual Closet?
Your spiritual life and your "normal" life are not two different entities.
Many of you are reluctant to "come out of the closet" because you will be judged for your beliefs and customs.
You don't need to come out of the closet. The closet doesn't exist. Your spiritual beliefs can only create tension if feel that they must.
So, why not feel something different. Instead of talking about your spiritual life, live it. Allow it to be a part of everything that you do.
Better yet, put your heart in charge of your actions.
This is not the same as "falling in love". You "fall" because you have no control, you are helpless against the strong feelings you have for another. You allow them to fill in your gaps as you fill theirs.
Acting with your heart means asking yourself how you feel about your actions. It means getting in touch with the love you have within, and allowing that feeling to lead you.
When you act from love you will never be wrong, you will not have to preach or pretend to be someone you are not.
If your spirituality comes from a book, a building or a person, then it is useless. Spirituality comes from having a connection with Spirit.
If your book, church building or minister helps you to get there, then continue on that path. Just know that others may follow a different path. Fortunately, there is only one destination, so you will all get there eventually.
The map is inside you. ~Silas.

Want a New Life? Try One On!
You are so good at deciding what you want. You look at the world around you and say, "I'll take some of that!". Sometimes you get it. Unfortunately, it doesn't always fit.
If you looked in a magazine and decided you wanted an expensive item of clothing, You would probably not buy it without trying on something similar.
You might go to a discount store and find an item in that style to see how it looks on you; how it feels and moves. You might find out that the fit isn't quite right, the lines are not flattering, or that you just don't like how it looks on you.
If you don't like it, you choose another style and go through the same process until you find a garment that is perfectly "you".
In the same way, you manifest the life you want.
What would it feel like to have unlimited funds? Go to a store and look at all of the things you could buy. What would it feel like to take them home?
What would it feel like to be a performer? Work at it. Practice daily. Does it bring you joy or is it too much work?
What would it feel like to be an author? Write! Daily. Constantly. Don't leave the house without pen and paper, for if you wrote for a living, you would not want to miss a single idea.
Find a way to experience what you want on a small scale. Then, you can design a life that will be satisfying, amazing and fun.
And it will always be a perfect fit. ~Silas
