The Greatest Love Story Begins Today!

You often underestimate the importance of self-love. You know it is a spiritual necessity, but like doing housework or taking care of your physical bodies, you avoid it because it is work.

When you show yourself love, it can be work. Just as it can be work to show love to another. But what do you feel when you are on the receiving end of that love, that leap in your heart as your beloved walks into the room, that squeal of delight at yet another token of affection? It feels wonderful, of course, it makes you walk around in a sea of bliss.

What if you discovered that your perfect love was always nearby and would never leave you and wanted nothing more than to make you the happiest person on Earth?

It is time to go on a blind date. A date with someone you have been around, but never really met. Someone who will love you so much that fairy tale characters will want to read about you.
That someone IS you.

This relationship is going to be fun, romantic, sensual and sexual. How can it not be, you are starting a relationship with a person who knows you as well and sometimes better than you know yourself?

Spiritual leaders are fond of telling you that you should love yourself, but they don't always tell you how to do it.

So let us begin! On this day in 2017, pledge to start a relationship that is a whirlwind, and yet stable, wildly romantic, with a touch of philosophy, emotional support and comfort.

It is time to fall in love with you! ~Silas

Please Yourself First

When you live your life seeking only the approval of others, you will not likely find it.

Some are inclined to criticize whether or not there is a reason. For some it gives them a sense of superiority and artificially raises their self-esteem.

There are those who are determined, no matter what the circumstances, to be unhappy and displeased with the situations and people around them.

Do not envy them, even if they are in a position of power or appear to be successful.

When you live your life for others, you will lose yourself. This is a terrible experience and one you do not want, even if you could make everyone around you happy.

You can only do your work, both physical and spiritual to the best of your ability and when you have done that, be proud, and move on to the next step.

There are simply too many people in the world to keep happy all the time. This is not  your assignment on Earth.

Do your best and make yourself happy. Others will flock to you and want to know the secret of your competence, and creativity.

When you release the need to be a "people pleaser" you will find a freedom and joy that can never compare to a smile on someone else's face.

Look in the mirror and admire your own smile. It is truly a thing of beauty. ~Silas

Life is Change

When you decide to change something in your life, prepare for a challenge.

That is not to discourage you, but rather to inform. Any good worthwhile change, will have a challenge attached to it. The trick is not to give up when you are challenged, believing that you have reached an impasse.

If all things in life were easy, you would do the right thing immediately. Change is difficult. It is also the way life works.

You can look at your life and see what is not working and make a change, or you can wait until it becomes impossible to continue the way you have been and Life will force your hand.

Either way, the change is made, but if you make it yourself, then you get to control it. You will decide how fast and how far you will go. You can power through the difficulties, or take a slow and more comfortable pace.

Lasting change for the better takes time. Have faith in your decisions and do not let the doubts of others dissuade you.

You may be wrong. You may try to make a change and find that it is not in your best interest.

You are allowed to be wrong. Trying something new comes with that risk. Learn to let go of ego, hold up your head and say, "Yes, I was wrong. I will try something else now."

Do not give your power away to the opinions of others.

A baby will make hundreds of mistakes before learning to walk, but if he gave up, he would be doomed to a life of immobility. His freedom and choices would be limited.

As will it be for you, if you go through your life with the idea of surviving rather than succeeding.

You did not come to Earth to lead a life of mediocrity. You are a star that fell from the heavens to shine its unique light upon the planet.

Decide how you want to shine that light, then take a step, no matter how small, to make it happen.

The hard steps are always the first ones. As you train your muscles, the next ones will be easier.

Soon, your new routine will be change, and you will find yourself living the life of your dreams, or at least, walking down a pleasant path to get there. ~Silas

Last Day

Here is a game to play today.

Today, live, act and plan as though it were your last day on Earth.

This sounds easy, yes? You will grab your bucket list and begin to read off of the list.

Ahhhhhh! But there is a catch! Today is a work day and you must go to work. You have only the resources available to you right now.

No tragedy awaits you. At the end of the day, the angels will guide you home and ask you what you have managed to accomplish.

Will you watch the clock from your work desk? Or enjoy, the purpose that your job serves, the lives that you touch?

Will you scowl impatiently at those you encounter, or smile at everyone, knowing that you won't see another human in a few hours.

Will you come home and wait for the end? Watch television, write a poem, sing, dance, take a long walk in the forest or break out the oil paints that you have been saving for, "when I have the time."

Practice this today. See what occurs to you. You may not accomplish everything, but do what you can with the time you've got.

When you wake up in the morning to find out you are still on Earth, put your hands to  your heart, bow your head and thank the Divine for this beautiful gift of another 24 hours.

And whatever you do, do not waste it. ~Silas

Three Things to Remember

As you move down the path of life, you will find that there are three elements involved in the journey. It was planned (with your permission) to be this way.

The first element is your life’s purpose. This is the map that guides you in a general direction. You have a choice of roads to take, but they all lead to the same place, unless you turn from your purpose. As your purpose was your choice, you will find your life more difficult when you do this.

Your clever, magnificent soul, will find creative and powerful ways to bring you back to your purpose, most of which you will not find pleasant, so best to stay on track.

The second element is work. Work is the walking. You can decide to take a steeper, winding path and work harder, or a smooth, level, straight path that will require less effort, but whichever you choose, work is necessary. This may come to you as study, dedication or a day job that will give you the resources to achieve your goal. Ideally, your path or goal will become your job, but you may have some learning to do along the way. Learning and study make the experience of your life’s work more meaningful and easy.

Your soul may have decided to challenge you a bit before you reach this point. Trust it. When your soul made these plans for this incarnation, it had a really good vantage point.

The third element is pleasure. These are the flowers and trees along the path. The sweet forest creatures that land on your shoulder or nuzzle against you. Life is not meant to be suffering. Those with lots of money can suffer, those with few possessions can feel joy and appreciation and a love for life. How much you experience these little (and big) joys is up to you.

To stay in balance, all three elements are necessary. Life becomes stressful and unbalanced when one of them is focused on to the exclusion of the others.

For example, you focus only on your life’s purpose and do not allow yourself to rest or have fun. You will get there, but life will always be a struggle.

You can focus only on work and feel empty inside because your life has no meaning and you are not headed in a purposeful direction.

You can get lost in play and fun and become addicted to the experience, again due to the emptiness of a life without direction.

Fortunately, the remedy is as easy as, just stopping destructive behavior and seeking balance. Your guides and angels (and we of the Fae kingdom) want you to have success. Just ask, and we will help you find your balance.

All work and no play (or the opposite) negates your purpose for being on this beautiful planet. Find your balance and you will find your bliss. ~Silas

All Work and All Play

Sometimes it is that which seems the least logical that is the correct answer. When you have tried all of the traditional ways of doing things, try something non-traditional. What have you got to lose?

For instance, you are stressed and overwhelmed with work, chores and to-dos.

You cannot in your wildest imagination see it all getting done.

This is the perfect time to take a break.

Does this sound illogical? It is not.

You see, the problem is not that you have too much to do, the problem is that you cannot see yourself accomplishing it and this causes you stress.

The stress is your problem, not your tasks.

When you feel completely overwhelmed, take 5 to 10 minutes (more if you have it) and play. Stop thinking about work and do something fun.

This is the ultimate purpose for work. You make money, you pay for your food and living space so that you can take the time to have fun. If this is not your goal, then you need to rethink your work priorities.

Don't worry that you won't get it done. A little play time (dancing, singing, walking in nature etc.) will clear your head and organize your thoughts so that your work is more efficient.

You will work smarter rather than harder and be absolutely amazed with what you can accomplish.

Start enjoying your life, whether you have a lot to do, or not. Otherwise, you are missing the point of this incarnation. ~Silas

Want a New Life? Try One On!

You are so good at deciding what you want. You look at the world around you and say, "I'll take some of that!".  Sometimes you get it. Unfortunately, it doesn't always fit.

If you looked in a magazine and decided you wanted an expensive item of clothing, You would probably not buy it without trying on something similar.

You might go to a discount store and find an item in that style to see how it looks on you; how it feels and moves. You might find out that the fit isn't quite right, the lines are not flattering, or that you just don't like how it looks on you.

If you don't like it, you choose another style and go through the same process until you find a garment that is perfectly "you".

In the same way, you manifest the life you want.

What would it feel like to have unlimited funds? Go to a store and look at all of the things you could buy. What would it feel like to take them home?

What would it feel like to be a performer? Work at it. Practice daily. Does it bring you joy or is it too much work?

What would it feel like to be an author? Write! Daily. Constantly. Don't leave the house without pen and paper, for if you wrote for a living, you would not want to miss a single idea.

Find a way to experience what you want on a small scale. Then, you can design a life that will be satisfying, amazing and fun.

And it will always be a perfect fit. ~Silas

A Red Light When You Are Late

It always seems to happen.  You have a busy day planned.  Deadlines looming, you set aside a special day to get all of your important work done. “This is it! Today is the day!”  You make up a schedule, determined to stick to it.

Then, morning arrives.  You wake up with a migraine headache, your Internet is down and your car’s battery has died. You are now unable to finish that project, run your errands or start that new workout routine.  You continue , in vain, to access the internet, repeating the same steps to no avail, wasting time in the process. You yell at your car and bang your pounding head against the wall.  “This is why I can’t get anything done!” you lament.

Ok. Time for some honesty. Remember, we are not judging you.

Did you have other opportunities to do this work or project?  What would you do if you could go back in time?  What will you do when all is right again?

Think of what you are trying to accomplish.  How does it feel to you?  Is it hard work that you would rather avoid? Could it be made less stressful? Could it be broken down into more manageable steps?

The Universe prefers a balance of work and play and will often give you “red light when you are late” moments to keep you from doing too much at once.  Often, your stress level gets too high and you need to slow down and prioritize so that when you have all things accessible to you, you will make better use of your time.

Sometimes a little adversity brings out the creative genius in you.  You have to think harder to work around problems.  Limiting yourself can help you develop skills you never knew you had.

There are also times when you are on the wrong path, or on the right path at the wrong time.  Taking the bus to work might put you in the path of a new business contact who can help your career.  A delay might cause you to rethink your project and make improvements, or allow you to take action at the perfect time to ensure your success.

When you find yourself delayed, know that there is a reason.  Ask, listen and take appropriate action (or no action) as instructed.

You are never late and never in the wrong place.  Do your best and release your worries. You are here, the time is now, and this moment is the only one you need ever be concerned about. ~Silas
