Strive to Thrive

It is a good thing to survive a disaster or difficult situation, but to label yourself as a "survivor" is a huge burden to carry.

To be a lifetime "survivor" invites disasters into your life.

Of course it does! As a "survivor" disasters are what you do. They are your life's work.

To survive is good. To life a life in survival mode is exhausting and unnecessary.

Strive to be a "thriver."

If you survived a terrible sickness, then thrive in perfect health.

If you survived poverty, then thrive in prosperity and abundance.

Difficult situations are lessons. Once the lesson is learned, there is no need to repeat it.

Survive, learn, release and thrive, then maybe the next lesson will be fun and easy. ~Silas

Take Time for Vehicle Maintenance

You may find your life hectic at times. You have no time for meditation or physical activity.

You have no time to just go off and relax or take a short nap.

"Too much to do," you say, as you pour another cup of coffee.

Most of you would agree that you are more important than your car, yet.....

Would you ignore your car's regular maintenance?

Would you leave the oil in for years without a change?

Would you constantly run it low on fuel?

Would you drive through nails or broken glass to save a few minute's time?

Of course not, and if you did, you would expect to be inconvenienced with breakdowns and mechanical failures.

You would know that it will cost you time and money that could have been saved. Inconveniences that could have been prevented.

In the aftermath of a car accident, friends and loved ones usually say, "Thank goodness you're all right!" The condition of the vehicle is a secondary concern.

You too, know that you are more important than your car. So why does this attitude change when your car is running smoothly?

Are you an "accident" waiting to happen?

Please do not be. Breathe, walk, meditate and eat healthy foods.

Keep your vehicle maintained and it will take you farther than you've ever imagined. ~Silas

It's Okay to Hug a Tree

You make jokes about being barefoot and hugging trees, yet this is your natural state.

Staying indoors can become an addiction. Much like eating food that is not healthy, you may get a "rush" from air conditioning and television. You may feel uncomfortable out of doors and miss the security and climate control of staying inside.

Like eating nutritious food and exercising, it may take a while to feel good outside. You may fear the "burn" of the sun or the dirt beneath your feet, but try it for some time each day.

Soon you will find it helps you to stay grounded. You will enjoy the tickling feeling of wind on your face, appreciate the warmth of the sun and find visual pleasure in the sights and sounds of nature.

Consciously go outside every day and breathe the fresh air. Fill your heart with loving thoughts and send them down into Mother Earth. Breathe in more love and send it up to Father Sky. Then quiet your mind stay still and breathe.

Feel the response that returns to you and know that you are an indispensable part of nature.

You are loved, you are life, you are right where you belong.......in the family. ~Silas

Perfect Health

Before you reach for a pill for your anxiety and stress, take a break and go outside.

Allow the energy of the Earth to calm and ground you.

You vibrate in harmony with this planet. Closed buildings, machinery and artificial light are not natural to your vibration.

Allow yourself to feel the sun on your skin, the grass under your feet and the fresh air in your lungs.

Perfect health is your natural state and your body knows what do to find balance.

Trust and allow this to occur. You deserve it. ~Silas
