The Ultimate Act of Self-Love

Every day take a few minutes to sit and connect with your Divine source.

This is the ultimate act of self love and one that most people neglect because it takes too much time or it is too hard to find the right place. Besides, how important can sitting still really be?

When you sit in meditation, you find the real you. You discover the energy with which you seek to have a relationship. You allow Divine source to love and heal you.

It also gives you an opportunity to get to know your guides, angels and fairy companions who can bring you wisdom and guidance.

Take even a few seconds several times a day: Take a breath, smile and connect to source energy.

You have the time and you are worth it. ~Silas

How Far Out Shall You Go?

If you are reading these words, you probably have a spirituality that is open and accepting of things that fall outside of what your society thinks of as “normal.”

Perhaps you need more drama in your life and are looking to start a conflict.

We cannot help those of you in the latter category. We hope you find your choices happy and fulfilling.

To the former, we say, “Good for you,” it is such a relief to take a small step out of the closet.

Do you, simply, not go to a conventional church and have a few friends who think as you do? Do you meditate? Cast spells? Read blogs written by fairies?

Taking those steps can be hard, but the more “out” you get the more you can sigh with relief at not needing to hide yourself.

The friends who are true friends will understand. Some will even ask questions or join you in your spiritual activities.

Others will, simply, fall out of your life. When that happens, you will feel that huge sense of release, as though a giant rubber band has just snapped. You will also find that for each person who exits your life, two or more will enter.

The energy you spend hiding yourself can be used for much more inspirational and creative pursuits.

You will find that friends who have been an enriching part of your life will not care or have suspected your wonderful weirdness all along.

Exit the closet at your own pace. Test the environment to be sure that you are ready for the emotional impact of your choice.

Then run, strut, leap and dance your way out of the closet! Chances are, you will not be dancing alone. ~Silas

Take Time for Vehicle Maintenance

You may find your life hectic at times. You have no time for meditation or physical activity.

You have no time to just go off and relax or take a short nap.

"Too much to do," you say, as you pour another cup of coffee.

Most of you would agree that you are more important than your car, yet.....

Would you ignore your car's regular maintenance?

Would you leave the oil in for years without a change?

Would you constantly run it low on fuel?

Would you drive through nails or broken glass to save a few minute's time?

Of course not, and if you did, you would expect to be inconvenienced with breakdowns and mechanical failures.

You would know that it will cost you time and money that could have been saved. Inconveniences that could have been prevented.

In the aftermath of a car accident, friends and loved ones usually say, "Thank goodness you're all right!" The condition of the vehicle is a secondary concern.

You too, know that you are more important than your car. So why does this attitude change when your car is running smoothly?

Are you an "accident" waiting to happen?

Please do not be. Breathe, walk, meditate and eat healthy foods.

Keep your vehicle maintained and it will take you farther than you've ever imagined. ~Silas

A Day of Possibility

Everything you think, every plan you make, every fear you have, is based on something that has happened in your past. How might your life be different, if you lived in this moment instead?

Close your eyes. You are in the lobby of a beautiful hotel room. You hear the rush of water flowing down a beautiful fountain. As you look up, the fountain goes up so high that you cannot see the top. The water sound is soothing. You feel calm and balanced.

There is a beautiful dining room to your right where you can have the meal of your choice at any time.

As you look out the window to your left, you can see a natural scene that makes you feel bliss and peace. It might be a beach, the bank of a river or the edge of a forest, whatever makes you feel good.

You get up and walk toward the front desk. A kindly-looking woman gives you a smile and you know she is there if you have any needs or questions.

You walk towards the front door and see a rack of brochures. You have a day to fill with activity. Look through and see what appeals to you.

There are brochures for music, dance, local bookstores, nature events, all kinds of hobbies; every activity imaginable is here.

Pick three brochures. Find ones that especially call to you on this day.

Take them to the dining area, where the breakfast of your choice is sitting on the table waiting for you.

Begin to read through them and decide which of them you would like to focus on today. You know you will have plenty of time to enjoy as many activities as you want and you have all the money you need to explore them.

The lady from the front comes over to you and asks what you plan to do today. You tell her and she says that, she will arrange it. All that you need to do is show up.

Thank her for her help, and stay and explore the hotel for as long as you like before leaving to enjoy your trip.

When you are ready; walk towards the front door. Take a deep breath.  Put your hand on the door handle, feel your fingers as you take another deep breath. With one last deep breath, open the door, and open your eyes. Take this feeling of excitement with you this day.

Now go! Enjoy the adventure you plan to have on this day. ~ Silas

Move the Body to Quiet the Mind; Quiet the Body to Move the Mind

Some days you find yourself completely overwhelmed. Your mind is racing but thoughts are coming too quickly to make use of them and worries and fears are creeping in to add to the stress.

When your mind is racing and needs to quiet down, move your body. Take a walk, dance, pace, exercise or just stand up and stretch. You must use your mind to decide what your body will do. Focusing on the task of the movement will automatically quiet the mind.

When you are stuck and cannot figure out how to move forward, it is time to quiet the body. Sit in a chair, on a pillow, or lie down. Breathe deeply, and let your mind wander.

You can ask a question or request a direction. Then let go and see what happens.

You may get a direct answer, or just feel calm enough to proceed. The answer you seek may come later, but it will always come if you ask and listen for an answer.

Before you seek outside help, consult the wise counselor within. If you seek answers with an open heart and mind, you will always get the help you need, personalized, just for you. ~Silas

If You Want to Get to Heaven, Get the Hell Out of Your Head

You know what you want and you believe that you have the capability of manifesting it in your life. You say your affirmations, you meditate, you pray and ask for guidance, yet you still struggle with relationships, finance and career.

As hard as you try to change it, your life is still the same. You wonder if you are worthy or if you are being punished. Perhaps the Universe is picking on you.

Do you want the answer? The answer is yes. Yes, the Universe is picking on you, not because the Universe is a big bully, but because you are. You beat yourself up and take your own lunch money because you live with the fear of things that no longer matter.

All that matters is this moment, right now. Stop. Take a breath. Your power is right here. Not yesterday, not ten years ago. Your actual potential is unlimited. The limits you set are in your head. They have been burned into your brain from the bad (or good) experiences of your past.

So, you go into a job interview. You start to think about past interviews which did not go well. You remember the frustration of the job hunt, the uncertainty and fear. You can see it all again, feel it, live it, and so when your interview goes badly, you decide that it's that darn Universe being mean again.

Well done. You have proven that the manifestation process is working properly. Your fearful thoughts have created your reality.

So, turn it around. Remember an interview that went smootthly, the thrill of the "You're hired!" phone call, or taking your first paycheck to the bank.

It is helpful, also to let go of negative thoughtforms. Try this if you will:

Sit and breathe, relax and feel your energy and envision your auric field. Now, ask to see the thoughtforms that have been holding you back. Were they helpful at the time they happened? Did you learn what you needed to learn? Do you still need this thoughtform in your brain?

See a shower of white light pouring over your head. It transmutes the thoughtforms into love and washes them away.

You are now a clean slate. Blank paper ready to tell a new story. What story do you want to tell?

Do this meditation often, for we know how stubborn you can be. Use this stubbornness to manifest the life of your dreams, or keep complaining. The Universe will listen and respond either way. ~Silas

The Art of Doing Nothing

You have been taught not to daydream, not to waste time, to always rush through whatever task you are attempting to do. To work too slowly, or stare into space is laziness.

What if we were to tell you that your body and spirit need down time just as much as they need food and water. You can understand this in terms of sleep, but sleep is not enough. Your body and mind need rest throughout the day. Of course, you take breaks, but you cheat on them. You are skimpy with your rest times. You work through them, you make phone calls, you watch television.

If your rest time were food, it would be a sugary coffee drink with whipped cream and a frosted pastry on the side. It looks good, but does nothing to recharge your energy.

Just as you have learned (or are trying to learn) that your body responds better when it is fed high quality food, your energy level responds to quality down time or break time.

Doing nothing, is not as simple as it looks. There is an art to getting the most out of it. Sometimes you have to work hard at doing nothing.

Let's take daydreaming, for instance. From a physical standpoint, you are doing very little. Your imagination, however, is running wild. For this period, you are allowing the ideas to surface without judgement. If you release the guilt of doing nothing, and pay attention to your thoughts, you will have many wonderful and creative things to share when you rejoin humanity.

Meditation is the ultimate in doing nothing. No movement, no judgement, release of thoughts that surface. Again, it appears unproductive, but the benefits are tremendous. In addition to releasing stress which causes many of your physical ailments, you clear your mind of the unproductive thoughts which clutter it causing confusion and distress. It's like cleaning and decluttering your home. It feels better and it's easier to find what you need.

Even a brief nap, can leave you feeling recharged, if you allow yourself to rest and forget to feel guilty about it.

So, today, goof off, loaf around, and stare blankly into space. This is not permission. This is your homework. Get to work at nothing. The sooner the better. ~ Silas

Jinnzania's side notes: I've had a long, busy week. For two nights, the insomnia has been pretty bad and the good nights I get about four to five hours of sleep. So today, I was up early and feeling guilty about the fact that I was tired and wanted to go back to sleep. I took a walk then came home and sat on the porch and started to daydream. That is why you are reading these words right now. Letting go of self doubt and mental clutter can do wonders for my receptivity. That is why I often feel rushed and overwhelmed. I need to slow down instead of speed up.

This message definitely came through for me and I imagine it will speak to others as well. So, read, enjoy, absorb, then go stare out a window. It has most likely been way too long.
