Your Hollywood movies have sold you on the idea of "Happily Ever After."
When the movie is over, the problem is resolved, the happy couple ride off into the sunset, the underdog celebrates her success or the world is saved and eternal happiness is the result.
Your job on Earth is to be happy and to learn. Your goals are simply scenarios that provide the backdrop for this happiness.
It would seem easy to be happy living in prosperity in a mansion, with the love of your life, located on a beautiful tropical island, but if stress, depression and fear are your habits, you can be miserable anywhere.
You can be happy or distraught in any situation, but this does not mean that the Universe wants you to be destitute and homeless.
Cultivate a habit of happiness. Even if you are not where you want to be. Don't blame yourself if you still get stressed, but shake it off quickly, leaving only the lesson behind.
If you desire to be someplace else, then feel the joy in that place. Walk as you would if you had the great job. Get dressed in the morning as though you are the successful actress or published author you aspire to be.
You may find yourself exactly where you want to be, someplace better or simply in a more favorable situation than you are currently in.
Congratulate yourself on the improvement, and enjoy your Happily Ever Now! ~Silas

All Work and All Play
Sometimes it is that which seems the least logical that is the correct answer. When you have tried all of the traditional ways of doing things, try something non-traditional. What have you got to lose?
For instance, you are stressed and overwhelmed with work, chores and to-dos.
You cannot in your wildest imagination see it all getting done.
This is the perfect time to take a break.
Does this sound illogical? It is not.
You see, the problem is not that you have too much to do, the problem is that you cannot see yourself accomplishing it and this causes you stress.
The stress is your problem, not your tasks.
When you feel completely overwhelmed, take 5 to 10 minutes (more if you have it) and play. Stop thinking about work and do something fun.
This is the ultimate purpose for work. You make money, you pay for your food and living space so that you can take the time to have fun. If this is not your goal, then you need to rethink your work priorities.
Don't worry that you won't get it done. A little play time (dancing, singing, walking in nature etc.) will clear your head and organize your thoughts so that your work is more efficient.
You will work smarter rather than harder and be absolutely amazed with what you can accomplish.
Start enjoying your life, whether you have a lot to do, or not. Otherwise, you are missing the point of this incarnation. ~Silas

From Adversity to Amazing
Would it surprise you to know, that many of your favorite
artists, musicians and storytellers had difficult childhoods or perhaps faced
challenges as adults?
They may still be going through them. You can see it in your
periodicals. It is surprising and shocking. Your hero has fallen from grace.
Creativity can be a fragile thing. Some can tap into it at
will. They decide to create and just start creating.
For others, there are fears and doubts. They don’t think
they can follow their passions so they bury themselves in drug abuse, bad
relationships and money troubles.
From those difficulties, they find the strong, passionate
emotions they need to create.
They often stay in that bad place because they believe that
the muse will elude them if they start to feel good.
This is not necessary. Creation is just as simple as
believing in it.
Think, dream, take appropriate action (occasionally stopping
to reevaluate) and make it happen.
Many people do their best work under adversity. A project is
due in a few hours so there is no time to argue with themselves about it. They
just jump in and do it. Often it is their very best work, because the worry and
fear have kick started their creative juices.
“So,” you think, “I must be under great pressure and stress
to create something wonderful? Why bother?”
Why? Because you must. Your soul is here to do work. If your
ego does not cooperate, then you will be put into a situation where you have no
choice.
So don’t fight your dreams! Stop resisting the idea of
vitality, love and prosperity!
If you must have a little adversity to create then give
yourself some. Make it a controlled, environment.
Set a time limit. Be serious about it. Use a timer or mark
it on your calendar and honor it. Face your fears.
Jump in and act without
over-thinking the situation (without putting your life in danger).
Risk looking foolish. Stop worrying about what others are
thinking. Start creating, right now!
Before you talk yourself out of it. ~Silas

No Worries......
One of the most important things you can do to make your
life easier, better and more prosperous, is to eliminate your stress.
When you are trying to accomplish something, it can feel
like stress is the fuel that is driving you forward.
Stress is, in fact, the mud under your feet that slows you
down.
It is good to be determined, and driven, but unless you are
running for your life, stress will not help you.
Take that energy and use it.
Create something. Write down your fears as a story or poem,
paint a picture, dance, walk or go to the gym.
Turn the focus away from your stress and you will find you
no longer need it.
From a manifestation standpoint, you are darkening your beautiful
vision of the future with clouds of worry.
Most of the storms you envision will not come to pass. So
why waste good creative time dwelling on them?
When your fears dissolve, you will find it much easier to do
the work you need to do. Chores will have less drama attached, and your body
will be healthier.
As we know you worry about your appearance, we will add that
reducing stress will keep you from eating when you are not hungry and allow the
food you have ingested to be perfectly processed to give your skin a healthy
glow and allow your body to easily achieve and maintain perfect weight.
So if you will not reduce your stress to change your life
for the better, then do it for your waistline. We will not judge. ~Silas

Stopping the Spread
If you were a scientist trying to stop the spread of a
contagious disease, you would, most likely follow three important steps:
First: isolate- Find
out what areas are affected and begin quarantine protocols.
Second: determine the cause- Look at it, study it, note how
it spreads. Find the organism that is responsible.
Third: treat- Once the guilty organism is found, treatment
can begin in the form of vaccine or antidote.
The first two steps are the hardest. It is the same with discomfort, stress, or
disease in your body, thoughts and
emotions.
First: isolate- What is happening? Depression? Anger?
Relationship issues? Aches and pains? What part of your physical body is
affected?
Second: determine the cause-
When did you feel this before? Childhood? Past life? During a
relationship that no longer exists? Did something traumatic happen that brought
it on?
Third: treatment- This is up to you. You are the doctor.
What feels right? Affirmations? Cleansing ritual? Creative visualization?
Pharmaceuticals? A trip to the doctor or counselor? Ask, then sit quietly and
listen. The answer will come to you, always.
No one can tell you what is right for you. You will know it and be drawn to it. Do not
let anyone tell you otherwise, and never give up. We want you to heal. We are counting on you.

A Red Light When You Are Late
It always seems to happen.
You have a busy day planned.
Deadlines looming, you set aside a special day to get all of your
important work done. “This is it! Today is the day!” You make up a schedule, determined to stick to
it.
Then, morning arrives.
You wake up with a migraine headache, your Internet is down and your car’s
battery has died. You are now unable to finish that project, run your errands
or start that new workout routine. You
continue , in vain, to access the internet, repeating the same steps to no
avail, wasting time in the process. You yell at your car and bang your pounding
head against the wall. “This is why I
can’t get anything done!” you lament.
Ok. Time for some honesty. Remember, we are not judging you.
Did you have other opportunities to do this work or
project? What would you do if you could
go back in time? What will you do when
all is right again?
Think of what you are trying to accomplish. How does it feel to you? Is it hard work that you would rather avoid?
Could it be made less stressful? Could it be broken down into more manageable steps?
The Universe prefers a balance of work and play and will
often give you “red light when you are late” moments to keep you from doing too
much at once. Often, your stress level
gets too high and you need to slow down and prioritize so that when you have
all things accessible to you, you will make better use of your time.
Sometimes a little adversity brings out the creative genius
in you. You have to think harder to work
around problems. Limiting yourself can
help you develop skills you never knew you had.
There are also times when you are on the wrong path, or on
the right path at the wrong time. Taking
the bus to work might put you in the path of a new business contact who can
help your career. A delay might cause
you to rethink your project and make improvements, or allow you to take action
at the perfect time to ensure your success.
When you find yourself delayed, know that there is a
reason. Ask, listen and take appropriate
action (or no action) as instructed.
You are never late and never in the wrong place. Do your best and release your worries. You
are here, the time is now, and this moment is the only one you need ever be
concerned about. ~Silas
